Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the classic romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Following her singing lessons with mom, she started more serious training in singing at 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After relocating to the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present place in southern California. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Her passion for singing, music and the arts keep her engaged in local projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically in the younger generations, for keeping this music alive.
