Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. The actress began her career acting during the 80s. She became famous for Tezaab, a film starring the veteran actor Anil Kooor. Then she appeared in the movie Dil where she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she began learning to dancing at a young age. While still a teenager she attempted acting, but most films she attempted to make failed. In the end, she was successful in Indian cinema and rose to the very top. After her wedding, she took a break in her career before re-entering the film industry. She played a major role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film focused on women's struggles in India. Dixit was nominated fifteen times in the Filmfare Awards. She won eight of them. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is the fourth most prestigious civil award in India. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
